In particular, an Arkansas County, Arkansas page is not an Aransas County, Texas record. The same caution applies to unofficial pages that copy arrest images without showing their source.

Correct Official Photo Records
Correction starts with the source that controls the record. Provide the booking identifier, explain the precise error, and attach the signed order or agency record that supports the requested change. Texas expunction under Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55A and nondisclosure under Government Code Chapter 411 have separate eligibility rules, effects, and procedures. Texas Mugshot Removal Fees
Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 109 applies to covered private businesses that publish criminal-record information. Its definition includes arrest photographs. The law bars a covered publisher from charging a fee to remove, correct, or modify that information and establishes accuracy and update duties, including duties tied to notice of an expunction or nondisclosure order.
This rule does not require Aransas County to post booking photographs. It also does not turn a copied image into an official release record. A person seeking a correction should document the request and the publisher's response, use the exact statutory route that applies, and keep the official court or agency proof. No payment should be treated as proof that a record was corrected or that an arrest was erased.
Match Photo to Custody
A county booking belongs first to the Sheriff and Detention Center. A TDCJ commitment is a transfer into state custody, so the county image and later state record describe different stages. TDCJ's basic email lookup can provide incarceration history and projected or actual release information, but it expressly does not supply photographs. Its public online search includes only people currently incarcerated in a TDCJ facility, making it unsuitable as a permanent former-prisoner photo archive.
Texas IVSS-Counties, if Aransas participation is available in the live portal, can report custody events and notifications. It is not a certified photo archive. The DPS Sex Offender Registry can display a photograph only for the limited group required to register, and it is not a general inmate-release list. Choosing the correct system prevents an old image from being mistaken for current custody and keeps the search tied to the event a person actually needs to verify.
